The Charter of Movement against Intolerance, Esteban Ibarra, and the Charter of the European Network Against Hate Crimes, Valentin Gonzalez, will give to the Ombudsman Soledad Becerril, the RAXEN Report-2012 which reflects significant issues in the field of racism, Xenophobia, Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, Neo-Fascism, homophobia and other related manifestations of intolerance.
The report states that attitudes of xenophobia are growing as other forms of intolerance, especially against immigrants, gypsies, homeless, homosexuals and other citizens based on religious and social diversity; also complaint about organized groups that call for demonstrations and systematically produce propaganda against immigration and diversity, threatening the cohesion and coexistence in a democratic society.
The report underlines the role of the Internet, a space that has become the field to spread hate, discrimination and violence based on racism and intolerance. It also underlines the internationalization of xenophobic populism, and shows as well the continued aggressions and violent acts against immigrants and other citizens seem as different, their goods or religious spaces.
Besides the Raxen Report, a documentary about Racism and Hate on the Internet containing information and images of hate crimes that are reported on the Internet will be given to the Ombudsman.
